Eremos Church exists to empower the Found to reach the Lost
“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
Luke 15:4-5 ESV
And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
Ephesians 4:11-12 ESV
Core Values
What We Believe
-
There is one true, living God—the intelligent, holy Creator and Ruler of all. Infinite in power and knowledge, He knows all things across time, including our future choices. We owe Him our total devotion. As the eternal Trinity, He exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: three distinct persons in one essence.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14
-
Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man through the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary. Fully God and fully man, He lived sinlessly, perfectly fulfilling God’s will. Through His substitutionary death and bodily resurrection, He provided redemption and reconciled humanity to God. Now exalted in heaven as our Mediator, He dwells within believers and will return in glory to judge the world and complete His redemptive work.
Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4
-
The Holy Spirit is the fully divine Spirit of God who inspired Scripture and illuminates truth. He exalts Christ, convicts hearts, and regenerates believers, baptizing them into the Body of Christ. He cultivates character, bestows spiritual gifts, and comforts the faithful. As our seal until final redemption, His presence empowers both the believer and the church for worship, evangelism, and service.
2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18
-
The Holy Bible is God’s divinely inspired revelation, a perfect treasure of truth without any error. Written by men but authored by God, its purpose is salvation and its content is entirely trustworthy. It serves as the supreme standard for all conduct and belief, acting as the center of Christian unity. Ultimately, all Scripture testifies to Christ, the focus of all revelation.
2 Timothy 1:13, 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 12:6, 119:105, 160; Proverbs 30:5
-
Created in God’s image as male and female, humanity is the crowning work of creation, making gender a divine gift. Though created innocent and free, man chose to sin, bringing depravity and condemnation to all. Only God’s grace restores us to His fellowship. Because every person is made in His image and is a soul for whom Christ died, every individual possesses inherent dignity and deserves respect and Christian love regardless of race.
Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a, 59:1-2; Romans 3:23; Colossians 1:21
-
Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
Romans 5:1, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12, 14:6; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26
-
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. When you die, you will either spend eternity in Heaven or Hell. Eternal separation from God happens iwn Hell. Eternal union with God occurs in Heaven.
John 3:16; Romans 6:23; 1 John 2:25, 5:11-13; Revelation 20:15
-
Because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation fo reternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.
John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25; 10:10-14:1; 1 Peter 1:3-5
